Look up at the City

I had a meeting in the City today, but otherwise as it was my day off, and I had someone to meet for lunch, I thought I would just wander around on a bright and breezy day. And look up. We just spend too much time scurrying around the City to notice what there is above our heads. There is a great abstract beauty to the skyscrapers that now adorn the City. And some interesting contrasts between old and new. Its worth a look. really.

A view of the gherkin that will soon be lost as 100 Bishopsgate will obscure it

And in amongst all the modernism is the splash of Victorian colour you get from Leadenhall Market
